You all know Qld flooded. We cleaned mud and stench from homes at an upmarket leafy suburb of Brisbane and The Wesley Mission production kitchen which feeds thousands of aged care folk every day.
We hosed mud from ceilings, slipped in slime, demolished walls and floors and dumped catering equipment. The smell was incredible, putrid.
Food Strategy isn't special. This is what tens of thousands of volunteers have done and are still doing as you read this. Volunteers have showed up from other states and countries as well as around Queensland.
